My Story
Allison Beach, MS, RDN, CSR, LD
My passion for nutrition began at an early age. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, but once I learned what a tremendous impact food has on our health I was hooked. I grew up with two family members who managed diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2) on a daily basis. My career started in pediatrics, then I went on to spend 5 years working in dialysis. During this time, I realized I wanted to assist those at risk of disease complications (such as diabetes and kidney disease) avoid lifelong complications all together, which led me to open this private practice. Although I've never walked in the shoes of someone with diabetes or kidney disease, I have seen the impact health complications can have on your personal life. No matter what diagnosis you may have received, whether it's diabetes, chronic kidney disease, or even just the need to lose weight, this does not ever define who you are. Food is meant to be enjoyed, and I am excited to help you find this freedom!

Despite unpopular belief, I believe that carbs are not the enemy (even with diabetes), and that all foods can fit into a healthy eating pattern. I utilize motivational interviewing to ensure counseling remains client-centered, and to help you achieve your personal goals. During our time together we can discuss the many methods to measure success besides weight, which I like to call non-scale victories.

I am a wife and a mom, meaning I understand what it means to be busy and feel like you don't have time to eat healthy. Good news-it is possible! In my free time I enjoy trying new restaurants/recipes, gardening to grow my own produce, and family walks with our dog.

My Philosophy
All foods can be part of a healthy lifestyle. Enjoying meals with loved ones is one of life's greatest pleasures, and it is important to know that no foods are considered "good" or "bad." The most important consideration with good nutrition is learning how to listen to your body. I utilize your individual motivating factors to assist you in meeting long term health goals.
My Mission
My mission is to help you enjoy meals again & live your healthiest life.
My Values
My goal as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist is to meet you where you are at. As a healthcare professional, I promise to bring my knowledge and expertise to the table, while also treating you as an individual with respect to the qualities that make you unique.
